On Sunday, the first batch of 145 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir left for Saudi Arabia on the annual Hajj pilgrimage. The pilgrimage, which is an annual Islamic pilgrimage to Mecca, the Holiest city for Muslims, resumed after this year after remaining suspended for two years in the wake of COVID-19 pandemic.
